Bangkok is comfortable for Muslim travellers. Thailand has an established halal-certification system, a sizeable Thai-Muslim community with mosques across the city, and halal food is easy to find — look for the Thai halal label or Muslim-run eateries. The BTS Skytrain and MRT beat the traffic, and ride-hailing (Grab) is widely used.
Getting in
Nearest airport: Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) (BKK)
Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)
• Airport Rail Link — ~30 min to Phaya Thai (avoids road traffic)
• Metered taxi / Grab — 40-60 min (traffic-dependent)
Don Mueang International Airport (DMK)
• Taxi / Grab / bus — 40-60 min (mainly budget airlines)
Getting around
The BTS Skytrain and MRT subway are the fastest way around; Chao Phraya river boats are handy near the old town.
Venue: IMPACT Muang Thong Thani (IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre), Bangkok. The DB row says 'IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre' which matches.
A Rabbit card covers the BTS.
Insist on the meter, or use Grab to avoid fare haggling.
